Today, as we commemorate the incredible achievements of Fairtrade gender leaders from across Asia, I am filled with pride to reflect on the impactful work we have been doing at Fairtrade NAPP to promote gender equality and empower women within the farming communities. At Fairtrade NAPP, we understand the vital role that women play in agriculture and the need to ensure their rights and voices are heard. Through our comprehensive gender strategy and adherence to the Gender Equality Standard, we have been working tirelessly to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for women farmers and workers.
Our programs focus on providing women with access to education, training, and resources, enabling them to actively participate in decision-making processes and gain economic independence. By championing fair wages, safe working conditions, and opportunities for leadership and advancement, we are breaking down barriers and paving the way for a more just and sustainable future. On this special day, I want to express my gratitude to all our stakeholders, partners and supporters worldwide for your dedication and commitment to advancing gender equality through Fairtrade and in making a difference in the lives of women workers and farmers and their communities.
