Network of Asia and Pacific Producers (NAPP) in collaboration with Fairtrade Germany & Fairtrade International participated at Biofach Germany. Biofach is the world’s leading trade fair for organic food and food products. Scheduled between the 13th and 16th of February, BioFach 2019 was the year’s most anticipated trade show for organic food and products. Close to 2800 companies from 76 nations displayed their products at BioFach in Nurnberg Messe, joined by nearly 51,500 industry professionals from over 130 countries.
NAPP extended it’s support to 07 Producer organisations across Central, South East and South Asia in facilitating B2B meetings and net workings with potential buyers and traders across the globe. The products showcased were Fairtrade certified organic rice, cotton, sugar, fresh fruits and vegetables, dry fruits, spices. The event saw an active participation from all the producers who enthusiastically met companies and organic stakeholders to explore new avenues and develop prospects. Biofach being the main meeting place of the global organic sector proved to be an outstanding trade show and a forum for not only conducting businesses but also for capacity building and exposure for the Fairtrade Producers.
